This weekend's fab Halloween party!

Our homemade costumes. I made my ears out of a headband and felt. Alex's hat was constructed out of some foam-type hat I found and then cut out the top and added a cone-like structure made of a foam sheet and cut it to look a little more rounded at the top and covered with yellow felt. It was a pain in the ass! Dying the pants and making the tie was a cinch.

The chandelier above the snack table which had a bunch of tasty treats like gingerbread men cookies (amazing!), chex mix, trail mix, grapes, candy and more cookies!

You can't really tell, but there was a shit ton of alcohol below these shelves. Vodka, club soda and a splash of cranberry juice was my one and only drink of choice. I was driving.

This would totally creep out my sister. She hates clowns!

I told you this would make an appearance...

A honey nut cream cheese, strawberry preserves and apple sandwich!

Mmmm....so good!

I ate this while watching The Weather Channel...

My thoughts and prayers go out to everyone affected by hurricane Sandy! It's absolutely insane what mother nature can procure. I hope everyone is staying safe!

WORKOUT

Today's workout was a good one! I went outside to run despite it being around 50 degrees! You better believed I bundle up! I ran about 6 1/2 miles. Woo! I'm getting the hang of this running thing. ;) I did have to walk a bit up some hills since Georgia is full of them and they are literally becoming a pain in my butt! Since I ran further than usual, I forgot about the time and tried running faster to get back home and I barely made it by noon. No time to shower, just change and head out the door for work. I need to wake up earlier. Ha! That may not work. I like to sleep. And 8:30 is already early enough! (I hang around at home for a bit before I go out running on Mondays since it's a late day!).

Until next time!

What's the farthest distance you've ran??

Anybody else been obsessively watching the Weather Channel like my mom and I? This whole situation is so unbelievable and awful for the people affected by Hurricane Sandy. 13 feet of water! A new record! That's just insane.
